PACL - Poly Aluminum Chloride Liquid is a NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) certified product that is commonly used in municipal water treatment and is safe in proper dosages (90mg/L).

PACL is used to quickly settle muddy water - useful for preparing water to be filtered for drinking water, having clear water for washing dishes and/or handwashing. Using PACL prior to filtering water will extend the life of filter cartridges.

NO! PACL removes a large amount of visible particulates and sediments, but does not remove bateria, viruses, protazoan cystes (Giardia, Cryptosporidium, etc.) The clarified water must be filtered though an approved filtration device followed by chlorine or UV disinfection. Failure to filter/disinfect could result in a serious waterborne illness.
